What is your Skin Age?

What is your Skin Age?

So I was recently spending some time at the barn with my horse last week and started talking to one of the new employees there as she did her chores.

She is quite friendly and we were sharing some horse stories as horse people do when they first meet.

When I told her I recently returned to riding after a 28 year hiatus, she took a physical step back and said, “Wait, if you have not ridden in 28 years, how old were you back then? I said, ” I was 18.”

I wish I had a camera to photograph her face as she quickly did the math in her head, “So you are 46!”, she blurted with disbelief. I said, “Soon to be 47.”

I then asked her how old she thought I was and her response was, ” My age!”

I did not know her age so I asked her hold old she was and she replied, “32.”

You can imagine the surprise I felt as this conversation was taking place but the shocking part of all this is that she genuinely believed I was in my early 30’s.

She referenced how my skin looked so young and I had no makeup on, which I did not. I shared with her that I owned a skin care company and her comments were the best possible compliment she could have given me that day.

This event inspired me to write this post as there is no reason this could not happen to you if you are taking the right skin care steps for your skin.

The most incredible compliment a woman in her late 40’s or older can receive is ” Wow, your skin looks that great without makeup!”

Now, to be honest or not to be is up to you.

Two scenarios can be the answer here.

Number one, either you are taking great care of your skin and using products filled with active ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid, Ceramides, Peptides and anti-aging heroes to give you your best skin day…

Or…

Number two, your makeup is lightweight, light reflecting and does not settle into fine lines creating “cakey” buildup and what we like to call “age defining makeup”.

If you happen to be doing both, then you are for sure deserving of that compliment!

If you have not heard a compliment like that in awhile, or are looking to up your skin care game, one of my great passions in life is making products that will get you back on track to your best skin day.

You’re Welcome.

All My Best,

Sandra

P.S. I attached an image of the day this happened of Coco and I so you can see what she saw. The image is a little blurry as its hard to get a crisp one with your horse attached to you. You get the picture though. 😉🐎
